You can say Rihanna has agreed to take part in a cover up for the government of Malaysia. She has decided to go easy on the skimpy stuff when she takes the stage for a performance next month.

By doing so, Rihanna becomes the latest international star to have her concert wardrobe altered by the country's strict rules on dress.

Recent concerts by Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne faced protests by conservative Muslims in Malaysia over what is considered immodest wear. Stefani ended up making what she calls "a major sacrifice" to do her show by putting on clothing that revealed little skin.

Government rules call for female performers to be covered from the top of the chest, including her shoulders, all the way down to the knees. That would put most female acts you can think of at odds with the rules.
